This is the highest quality form of rennet available on the U.S. market today and is NON-GMO.

We're thrilled to announce that this rennet no longer contains caramel coloring. As a result the color is more translucent. This rennet is still the same product that we've been carrying for years and is one of our most popular forms of rennet for cheese making.

INGREDIENTS: Veal rennet, sodium chloride, acetate, propylene glycol, flavor, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate.

YIELD: 1/2 teaspoon will set 2 gallons of milk in approximately 45 minutes.

    • ALL NEW SIZE One ounce contains approximately 6 teaspoons which will set up to 24 gallons of milk
    • Two ounces contains approximately 12 teaspoons which will set up to 48 gallons of milk
    • One pint contains approximately 96 teaspoons which will set up to 384 gallons of milk
    • One quart contains approximately 192 teaspoons which will set up to 768 gallons of milk
    • One gallon contains approximately 768 teaspoons which will set up to 3072 gallons of milk
    • Five Gallons contains approximately 3840 teaspoons which will set up to 15360 gallons of milk
      • Note: The five gallon option may take up to one week to ship out for our facility

DIRECTIONS: The amount to use will vary on the condition of your milk, season and type of cheese you are making. Dilute required amount of rennet with 20 times its volume of cool, potable water. Immediately add into milk and stir for 2 minutes to uniformly distribute.

STORAGE: Store rennet in refrigerator. Will keep for 1 year if stored properly.

Please note, this item cannot be shipped to Australia or New Zealand.

    Best cheese making products...never fails.

I've gotten the rennet tablets, vegetable rennet and now the regular liquid rennet. They all work perfectly so you never have to worry you'll ruin your milk and waste all that time.

I finally made my holy grail cheese---a soft, milky mozzarella---using this product.

I've been attempting this cheese for years and always ended up with hard or rubbery string cheese. Not with this rennet. I will be ordering this in the future.

Do watch when you cut the tip off the bottle. It has a cardboard divider in it that I did not see, so I kept cutting and cutting...

    Liquid Rennet

The liquid rennet worked beautifully, it was the first time I had used rennet in liquid form, and I am very pleased!

    My first

Yes, my very first cheese making experience went flawlessly with your rennet, and clear instructions. The mozzarella was perfect, and your advice on buying quality minimally pasteurized milk is spot on. I am encouraged by my first success to try more of your recipes. Thank you so much for your website and your products.

Wowza! This rennet works great! I previously used the tablets, but the liquid seems to set firmer and I don't worry about dissolving issues or wonder about proper measurements. Love it.

    Highly Effective

Highly effective. I prefer the NECC vegetarian rennet from a personal standpoint but this product has a longer shelf-life and is equally as good of a product for coagulation.

    Easy to use

I have purchased about 3 bottles of this (over time) for my cheesemaking, but for my cheesemaking purposes I sometimes have to wait about 2 hours for a clean break (on milk that has been pasteurized at 161 deg F). I enjoy the ease of using liquid rennet as opposed to tablets, but my only critique would be that I would like to have an indication on the label as to when the product was bottled/set to expire.

Whenever I receive a bottle of rennet (or a culture) I write on the product when I received it so that I know when it is around it's expiration date. It would take a lot of the thinking out of the process for me if this was indicated on the packaging, since cheesemaking is such an exact science. My first two bottles of rennet didn't produce a clean break (with CalCl added to milk) the first two times, but the 3rd bottle I received seemed to be much fresher.

    Easy To Use Always works

This is very easy to use. Easy to mix with Water and always works. Of course you must use non chlorinated water. I have even used this product after sitting in my fridge two years and it still worked. It arrived within three days of ordering. The bottle is great, but can be difficult if you have kids that continually open the fridge and rummage around. The little cap can come off and it can leak everywhere.

I use this any time I need to add SMALL doses of rennet, like soft cheeses. Works great and easier to measure than the powdered rennet.

    Scandinavian Delight

We have been making this Scandinavian Delight for years using tablet rennet. Even using this type when it was 20 or more years old.

One day it was all used up. So I set out to purchase a new batch of them.

Hmm, it didn't seem to be the product that I was used to. It didn't seem to be very potent. I used it a couple of times without very good success and purchased another batch only to have the same result. Not so good.

We were quite disappointed as our favorite special treat wasn't working out right. The new tablets simply didn't seem to be of the same quality and intensity that we were used to.

Then after poking around the web for a year or so, I finally found you.

I thought you have to have the real stuff. I had never used a liquid animal rennet prior to this.

Out of the gate and to the finish line with perfection. I am amazed at what this product did.

Oh yeah, you betcha, we love Ost Kaka, yum. Now we are experiencing real Scandinavian Delight.

I am excited to now have a source to count on as I enter a new phase of my culinary life. This rennet has given me such confidence that I am going to make some cheese too. Don't know what yet.

Anyway, what? Five bucks for all of that rennet, that's nothing.

Thank you for a wonderful product and user friendly website and for being so affordable.

Tried Others - This was the Best

I have tried other companies animal rennet (where they claim to be 10X the strength) and came back here to buy. I like the liquid best, although I initially started out using the tablets when I first began making cheese.

Both worked, but I seemed to get the best results from the liquid version. I have always wanted to try using an animal stomach to see how quickly it would coagulate.
