    This single strength veal rennet is the highest quality form of rennet available on the U.S. market today and is NON-GMO.

    We're thrilled to announce that this rennet no longer contains caramel coloring. As a result the color is more translucent. This rennet is still the same product that we've been carrying for years and is one of our most popular forms of rennet for cheese making.

    INGREDIENTS: Veal rennet, sodium chloride, sodium acetate, propylene glycol, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate.

    YIELD: 1/2 teaspoon will set 2 gallons of milk in approximately 45 minutes.

    • ALL NEW SIZE One ounce contains approximately 6 teaspoons which will set up to 24 gallons of milk
    • Two ounces contains approximately 12 teaspoons which will set up to 48 gallons of milk
    • One pint contains approximately 96 teaspoons which will set up to 384 gallons of milk
    • One quart contains approximately 192 teaspoons which will set up to 768 gallons of milk
    • One gallon contains approximately 768 teaspoons which will set up to 3072 gallons of milk

    DIRECTIONS: The amount to use will vary on the condition of your milk, season and type of cheese you are making. Dilute required amount of rennet with 20 times its volume of cool, potable water. Immediately add into milk and stir for 2 minutes to uniformly distribute.

    STORAGE: Store rennet in refrigerator. Will keep for 1 year if stored properly.

    Excellent Rennet

    I have been using this animal rennet for a couple of years now and have had very good results with it considering the only milk I can get is standard store bought milk. The only thing I would caution anyone using this rennet is; many recipes tell you to wait 30 minutes for setting your curds, I have found I need to wait a full 45 minutes or some times longer according to the cheese I'm making. It can be shorter with some higher acid cheeses but for most of my cheeses I go at least 45 minutes.

    not working as expected

    I followed the directions but I could not get it to work properly, I changed the milk , I still did not get the result expected. they should put on the bottle the product date.with the poor result I still managed to make the best hslloume cheese.

    Perfect

    Rennet is a necessary ingredient in cheese making, and there are so many kinds so it often makes it hard to figure out what to use. I love this rennet because it is Non-GMO, easy to use & measure, you can pour or drop, and it comes in many sizes!



    Even better yet, if it goes over the best by date, a few extra drops added with your normal amount of rennet will get the milk to set properly. Though usually I tend to use it up before then!



    The measurement amount on the back is also really handy, because I don't have to look at my notes or try to guess how much I use; I just cut the amount in half (because I use raw milk) and I am ready to go.

    Good cheese making everytime!

    I have only been making cheese for about a year now, when I first started I tried the rennet from the stores near me, it didn't work, I thought it was me. Now I only buy my rennet from New England CheeseMaking Supply Co. because I want my cheese to turn out everytime! And it is also so easy to just order it & it comes in a couple days, so handy.

    This works so much better than the microbial rennet I was using before. It coagulates the milk quicker and doesn't leave a bitter taste in the aged cheeses. Highly recommend!

    This rennet worked fairly well, but ever since we started using it we found that the curds tended to take much longer to firm up than they were supposed to. It worked much better if we added a bit extra - no big deal - it just didn't work as well as we expected.

    Liquid rennet makes life easier.

    The Liquid rennet makes things quicker and easier when setting the curd on cheese. Can be diluted to mix easier with liquid. I am a big fan after dissolving tablets all these years.

    Animal rennet

    Animal rennet is really an amazing product. Without this it is not possible to make a cheese spread nicely over pizza.So I would like to suggest you to add this while making cheese at home.It really works in making a beautiful home made cheese.

    The liquid animal rennet is, hands down, far superior to the tablets I have used previously. I haven't the time to make a variety of cheese but the mozzarella turns out awesome. I will never buy mozzarella agains thanks to the cheese queen. Elated in Alabama.

    I am a certified organic farmer, with a farm processing kitchen separate from my house, and enjoy making my own 'goodys' from things grown here on our farm. New England Cheese Making Supply Company is a reliable source for things to make those 'goodys' come to fruition. Their liquid RENNET is the best I've found.
