    4-1/2'Wide x 5"High with follower and open bottom. A food grade polypropylene cheese mold imported from France. This mold will work with any of our presses and is used when making up to a 2 pound cheese from 2 gallons of milk.

    This 2 lb mold does not need the amount of weight for pressing as our larger M2 mold so therefore does not need a closed bottom to contain the curd mass. The open bottom also provides the best drainage.

    Most useful mold for home cheese makers

    I run a cheesemaking school in Longmont, Colorado and use this mold in my classes more than any other. It is perfect for one gallon batches and can be used for any hard cheese as well as brie & camembert. It's inexpensive and easy to throw in the dish washer to clean. If you're only going to buy one mold, this is the one!

    This is my first "big boy" mold and it worked well. I would like to move up to a bigger sized mold, but I'm limited to the amount of milk I can process. The follower is great!



    what I don't like is the lack of a bottom. It's the reason I can't give it a full five stars.

    Good, sturdy product. The follower is the more important part of the mold as the container is easy to make yourself; the follower not so easy.
