I originally ordered this to try the Belper Knolle recipe that's in the recipes section. A few balls of it never managed to make it to aging and now the family asks if I'm making it every time we get together. Time to order some more.

This chevre culture is one of the most reliable and dependable cultures a cheesemaker can have. With the varied diet of the goats it is a great to have a culture that you can depend on having the consistent texture and flavor. My customers demand consistency and this chevre culture is the best.

We were given a packet from Tess of Off The Vine Market with the goat milk we purchased from her market. My daughter in laws and I followed the directions and patiently timed the outcome. We were surprised to find a fromage textured cheese waiting to be sampled and spread on bread we made the day before. Thanks Tess for suggesting this treat that we will definitely make again. Who knew that cheesemaking at home could be this much fun and fascinating.

I am a newbie and this was my first cheese. I no longer buy goat cheese in the store as this is easy and tasty. Sometimes I do admit I wait for the goat milk to go on sale!

I make a lot of Chevre' to eat fresh, for salads or for the freezer before drying my girls up for winter & when I use this it turns out every time & is so easy!

So easy. I love the basic chèvre recipe. It has become my main cheese staple. This is too easy to do. No heat, no rennet. Just add culture and leave it alone. Very rewarding.

I have been making goat cheese with your chevre culture for a couple years now. I add garlic powder and dill or your herbes de Provence. Everyone says it is the best goat cheese they have ever had. Even my 2-1/2 year old granddaughter loves it and asks for it for lunch. So, I am really happy to be able to buy it in quantity. Thanks for a product that is so very easy to use and produces such a wonderful treat.

In Vermont we have some awesome cheese available to serve for dinner party apps, but none impresses guests more than when I serve my own, homemade chevre. I buy pasteurized goat's milk from a Vermont producer and follow the simple instructions and get a perfect batch every time.

Excellent products.

Never made cheese before but bought these cultures and tried my hand at it. All I had to do was heat the day old goats milk to 86F, add the culture, and then I stuck it in a somewhat heated oven in an attempt to keep it at 70-something for 12 hours like the packet said. The next morning, I spooned it out into a torn up bed sheet and hung it in the kitchen til evening and we had the freshest chevre cheese possible! It was very fresh and mild, so for my next experiment I will definitely try seasoning and maybe some aging too!

I have made chevre for years, and most of the time my cheese turned out well, but sometimes it would not have the creamy consistency that I love. These little packets deliver that consistency, every time. I highly recommend them for the person who has little time, but wants to make fantastic goat cheese

I've been using these direct set packets for years and these cultures have never once let me down. They keep in my freezer for months and months, taking up no space. This is important to me because I don't make chèvre that often, but when I'm ready, I often make multiple batches. The fluffy chèvre produced with these little white packets of capric awesomeness tastes exquisite.

New England Cheesemaking ships them promptly, and packages the set of starter packets in a convenient little ziplock pouch with handy chèvre recipe.
