Really nice thermometer, easy to calibrate by just holding the nut on the back with pliers, dipping the stem in boiling water, and turning the dial to 100C / 212F. Temperature of ice water varies so much it's not useful for calibrating.

Works well. Perfect for my small batches. Clip attaches easily and holds in a good position on my pans.

The dial is nice and readable, it's easily adjustable on the pot. It falls off the side of the pot a little too easily, but as long as you don't touch it it works great.

I used this thermometer in my oven for Thanksgiving dinner and it shattered, scattering broken glass onto my hot food. The description does say "oven safe" but do not trust it. The oven was oly set at 350 degrees, the thermometer was only used about 6 times for cheese and yogurt and it was never fully immersed in water.

Love this thermometer! The numbers are big enough to see without using my reading glasses! It works great and the clip is very good at keeping the thermometer from falling into the pot. No more thermometer fishing yes ! I just wish it came in an 8" stem.

Very nice thermometer, works great. Its amazing how much better a persons cheese turns out when you have a proper way to keep an eye on the temp! Im not able to clip it on the side of my cheese pot because it touches the side of the pot and gives me a false reading so it would be nice for me if the clip was designed to hold the bottom of the thermometer out a bit.

Keeping accurate temperatures is important in cheese making. This thermometer is long enough to not get lost in oversized pans and clips to the side of my pan.

This was a great birthday present this past year. Having the long stem makes for a more accurate picture of whats going on in my cheese.

Great small batch thermometer.

I really like this thermometer. It proved to be the perfect length for the pot I use for 1 gallon batches. You don't see it in the product picture, but it does come with a pan clip as stated in the description. I've accidentally dropped this thermometer into liquids with no observed consequences. It seems to be very well made.

I was afraid the stem would be too short, but it works great, even in my bigger pot. I love the big dial and that I don't have to bend over to see it like I did my other one.

I've owned this for years and it works great. It tells true and rarely need recalibration. I mostly use it for cheesemaking and the length makes it much easier to use than shorter thermometers. I'll occasionally stick it in a roast chicken (once I've taken the chicken OUT of the oven) and it works fine for checking the internal temperature of meat.

This is a very reliable and accurate thermometer. It is a reasonable price and excellent quality. I now have two in different length sizes! One is for two gallons and under and the other for 3 plus gallons.

Nearly wonderful!

This thermometer does everything that it says it does, but it does need recalibrating quite often. This is really no hardship with a medical thermometer as a yardstick, but you need to remember to do it quite regularly for accurate results. Otherwise it's wonderful!

I love having a thermometer I don't have to hold till the steam makes it too hot and lurch around with a pot holder. I love the short stem, as I am making some mini-batches of cheese and this is great - no scraping the bottom of the pan! Nice price too!

You give a thermometer that goes to around 200 a bad review because it broke when you put it in your oven and ran it to 350. I hope for the sake of the people around you, you gave up cheesemaking.
