This is a perfect thermometer for smaller batches, especially 1/2 gallon sized things like yogurt, ricotta, etc. It fits perfectly on the smaller pots without protruding out like longer thermometers.

Everything works like clockwork. The thermometer works great. The cultures work great. In fact I've already made cottage cheese. It came out great. The next thing I will need to order is a cheese form so I am able to produce a pressed cheese.

so far it is the best I have had. It is long enough for large vats, the display is clear and it has a clip to secure it to the vat.

This thermometer works just the way it should. It's easy to calibrate and clips to the side of the pot. It is not intended for oven use. The dial only goes up to 220 degrees F. Glad to buy a product made in the USA.

Good, sleek, easy to read thermometer. Slightly too long or tall for a standard pot.

I'm new to cheesemaking and love this thermometer. I do small batches of milk products (1/2 to 1 gallon at a time) and use stainless steel Revereware pots...and this size of thermometer fits nicely in them. In getting used to the cheesemaking process, I have been klutzy at times and accidentally had the thermometer flying off into ice water or on the floor and miraculously it still works just fine. I particularly like how fast and seemingly accurate it is.

Works great! We went through several store bought cheep ones before buying this one. It's lasted lots longer than the others. If I'm using a shallow pot, like when warming milk for yogurt making, it's a bit unhandy to have it so long and I have to be careful not to let it fall out of the pot. I guess I need a shorter one as well. :)

Wonderful

This is a staple for making my cheese. I'm able to SEE the temperature!!! No more holding the thermometer with one hand. Clip it on the side of the pan for a hands free cheese making experience. It's great. I purchased this as a gift for a friend. We could never go to another thermometer. Try it, you'll love it.

Works exactly as required.

This thermometer is long enough for the tall pots needed to make multi-gallon cheese. It clips to the side of a pan, making the temperature reading convenient.

Worth every penny!

I had tried a half dozen thermometers before I purchased this. Wow! What a difference. The font on the thermometer is so much easier to read than those I had previously purchased. The clip on the side is wonderful. It can be adjusted so you're able to put the probe as deep or shallow as needed. Less mess. Hands free is a good thing!
