I am new to cheese making, and wanted to invest in a quality cheese press without having to do a lot of "trial and error" shopping. This cheese press is very well made, and easy to use. I am very happy with this cheese press, and with this company. Thank you!

This press, while a tad pricey, is a great product. Easy to use and I believe will last virtually forever. The guage the pounds of pressure needed is easy to read and set.

This product is beautiful and easy to use and to clean. I like being able to tell how much pressure is being exerted and the different shapes of molds that were included.

This press works great but it must be watched for the first few hours to keep constant pressure. I have used it mostly for pressing farm house cheddar.

The six month wait for the cheese to age isn't great, but the end result is spectacular! We were using coffee cans and bricks for weights before getting this press. It is so easy! So far we've been making 12 pounds a month and keeping them in our wine coolers - better to have great cheese than cool wine :-) Thank you for a simple-to-use and efficient press!

More ease!

I love this cheese press and find it very easy to use. The mice on top of the weights make it easy for me to know which side goes up. The measuring stick for the amount of pounds is easy to read and push down. I use to use buckets of water (since I know 1 gallon of water weighs 8 lbs) and would precariously balance a 5 gallon bucket of water on top of the mold and follower and would often feel worried that the bucket would spill or drop on someone's foot or the dog...this cheese press has offered more ease all around for me! I love it! I feel more motivated to make cheese since it can sit in the press so easily and does not take up much room and I am not worried about it making a huge mess or hurting anyone. I leave it on the edge of the sink to drip into the sink and there is very little clean up. I can't say enough good things about this cheese press - I highly recommend it!

Before I got this cheese press, it took 3 people to lift the weights and place them evenly on my old cheese mold & follower! Now I can easily press the cheese myself, and the finished cheese is SO much smoother and prettier!

Thank you for making this wonderful press! It is made so well, and is definitely something that will be passed on to future generations!!

Buying this beauty was a bit challenging to afford, but I definitely do not have any regrets! It is easy to use, easy to clean, and compact enough for storage. I have made many rounds with it since getting it a month ago. I am careful to keep it clean and dry due to the wood based nature. One comment I'll make to the manufacturer....mine arrived with the cylinder in an oval shape not round. :( It makes turning over and redressing the cheese a little challenging. Doesn't affect the cheesemaking process, just a bit of advice to look into that.

After years of using a homemade two-board-four-dowel-hand-weight system, I invested in this cheese press. It is well made and I really like the metal drip tray with the drain spout. It keeps the moisture off of the wood, protecting it from warping and splitting.

I recently got this cheese press and was excited to try making my first pressed cheese. I'm a total newbie to cheese making and had previously only made soft cheeses and milk products, like ricotta, mozzarella and creme fraiche. Unfortunately, my cheese press did not come with instructions for how to use it and I had trouble finding information on the website. I figured it out, but it took a bit of time for someone with no experience. The only other thing I would say is that it was hard to keep the cheese at the pressure specified in the recipe. But again, I may not have been doing it correctly. In the end, though, my queso fresco came out great and it was delicious on chili, tacos and more.

We ordered this press for convenience. My wife and I are very busy, so we were looking for a press that is easy to clean, already assembled, could easily drain into our sink, and wouldn't be an eye sore in our kitchen... This press has delivered on all aspects.

Upon receipt, we opened the package and began pressing 3.5 pounds of cheddar, it worked wonderfully.

I bought mine a couple of years ago and have given it plenty of use. This time of year (spring) I make cheese 3-4 times a week from our goats' milk. I highly recommend this cheese press. I had (still have) another cheese press that was less expensive (not cheap!) but I prefer this one as I like the stainless perforated form, and I like the fact that you can easily gauge how much pressure you are putting on the cheese and the curd drains much better. I have used mine to make Manchego, Cheddar, Parmesan, Romano, etc. If you are considering this press, go for it! Money well spent in my view.
