I've been using this for 5 years. I wash and dry immediately after each use. While cutting curds the other day I noticed dark specks on top of my curds. I realized they were coming from my curd knife. Where the blade meets the handle on both edges has oxidized. Anyone else have this problem. Time to buy a new one. Functionally the knife worked well, disappointed to see this happen to the steel.

I really like the fact that when I make a larger batch of cheese (for me), it is still long enough to use in my three gallon stock pot. It cuts well and cleaning it is a breeze.
