By far the best cheesecloth on the market. I've purchased cheesecloth from several other companies. None of them come close to this product. The fine weave keeps bugs out of my sauerkraut crock. I vent my dryer hose into the laundry room in the winter. Used an old piece of this to cover the end of the hose. It traps all the lint! It's wonderful to bandage wrap cheddar.

This is a wonderful, quality cloth that I use over and over again for draining curds. After months and months of use which includes sanitizing and hanging on a clothesline I semi-retire these clothes for use in the kitchen. After six years of using this same product, I would never buy anything else.

Best Straining Cloth Around!!

I cannot say this enough: buy this Butter Muslin. Buy more than you think you'll need. This stuff is 10x better than anything you'll buy at the store and makes regular WalMart cheesecloth look pretty worthless. Not only is it perfect for straining during your cheese making process-- it never splits or gives out or let ANY curd through!-- it's a product you'll find yourself using all over the kitchen. For example, we brew kombucha, and it's the perfect fabric to cover your kombucha brew. I now recommend it to everyone in my kombucha classes. Also, we're beekeepers and so we use this stuff sometimes to strain honey. And yesterday, I used it to hold the pickling spices when I was canning pickles. But the best part about this stuff? You can wash and reuse it again and again... or it's affordable enough that you can toss it and not feel guilty. I can't say it enough: this is Butter Muslin is the standard. Buy as much as you can afford!

I was thrilled to get this 'proper' cheesecloth! There is enough for many cheese projects, it washes up very nicely too. Warning for newbies - don't double up, it will take much longer to drain, and if you need to twist up the end, you have way too much material at the top.

This stuff is the best, tried regular muslin and butter muslin is much better. Love it.

This very fine cheesecloth is hard to find, even online. The coarser weaves just won't work. As usual, New England Cheese Making Supply came through. Excellent quality.

Oh, how I love this butter muslin! It holds the cheese without becoming "stuck" to it. So much nicer than other items I've used in the past ("cheesy" cheese cloth, old pillowcases, etc).

I recommend this highly!

I had tried other cheesecloth ( all Walmart stuff)and the results were always a waste of time!!! So discouraging. As soon as I bought yours I tried it right away. 1st test was the cream cheese, if it worked with that it was a keeper. Results? Perfect cream cheese not a glob of goo, it drained sooooo nicely. I was so happy. Great price for such good quality. Thanks

I made Quark in my first adventure in cheese making and the recipe said to get butter muslin, so I did. The cloth was bigger than I needed so I just doubled it over and put the curds on it. Seems to work fine. I was able to squeeze out the whey to get my desired consistency without needing to hang it to drain.

I love butter muslin! The weave is much more fine than cheesecloth, so you don't lose all your hard work. I tried using cheesecloth once when I didn't have butter muslin. The whole batch of cheese had to be thrown out.
