The premeasured one use packet is helpful. A lot of the cultures are expensive, however. It would be helpful to know whether these could be used to make a mother culture to decrease cost. Also including other names that may be used for the cultures you provide would be helpful. I've seen a number of starters in cheesemaking books, and I don't know which recipes I can use your products in.

I have had great success using this culture to make fresh goat milk chevre. The quantities provided in the individual packets are the perfect amount for the batch sizes I work with and the instructions are very clear. I have not had a bad experience using these cultures in the year and a half I have been making fresh cheese. Highly recommend.

    Easy and Tasty

I've used this culture for a variety of soft cheeses. It makes a great, somewhat sour cheese that never seems to stick around for very long ;).

    :0) Very Cool Results!

Last year was my first year with my doe's milking... having so much I froze much and in the winter experimented with the hard cheese as I had quickly mastered the soft.....the end results are my family & asking for more Gouda (called goata) having plenty more culture and the willing to provide i sadly can't comply this year as the buck we bought did not produce as he did the year when we leased him ...but the best news was that the culture will last longer so perhaps we'll be milking in the fall!!!!

I use this culture mostly for my cream cheese. It is reliable and easy. Highly recommended. I do have to divide the packet contents because I work in small batches, and that's a bit of a pain, but that's really more of a me problem!

    Very good quality mesophilic culture

I love the taste of my cheese with my culture. With some cultures, it has had a slight bitter taste, but now my cheese taste very good. I am learning so much about making cheeses, and am going to try some of the hard cheeses soon. We eat our mozzarella and ricotta cheeses as soon as they are done

    easy to use

These are really easy to use packets, no measuring and I usually make a 2 gallon batch, so it works great! I have mostly just made cheddar. I have not got to the point of making other hard cheeses yet, hopefully one day. It is a good price and they store in the freezer for a long time.

Easy to use! When buying in bulk, this price is unbeatable. I use it to make cheddar, farmhouse cheese, and a good creamy cheddar spread when I don't press the moisture out. I love the quality and variety of the cheese I make with this product.

    Mesophilic culture

I can't keep this stuff in my freezer! If you make as much goat cheese as I do, its best to buy in bulk. I'm switching to bulk so I don't keep running out of the individual packets.
