    Renco Natural Calf Rennet Powder is sold in bulk. The strength of this rennet is maintained at a constant level - 1:100,000 directly related to the coagulation of whole milk.

    INGREDIENTS: Sodium chloride, Bovine chymosin, Bovine pepsin, Sodium benzoate

    YIELD: 1/16tsp (1/3 gram) will set 1-2 gallons of milk in approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. 100 grams will set at least 300 gallons of milk.

    DIRECTIONS: It is recommended that the measured amount of rennet powder be dissolved in 50 times its own volume of cool, chlorine free, potable water, allowing 30 minutes with occasional agitation for complete dissolution. Thereafter, follow regular cheesemaking procedure.

    STORAGE: Keep container closed and store in a cool, dry place away from direct light. The ideal storage temperature is 38 to 45°F. Under ideal storage conditions the preparation displays excellent long term stability (less than 5% activity loss in 12 months.)

    Rennet vs store bought

    I love this product only use 1/8 of a tsp for my soft cheese like cottage cheese. Use so much less, store in the freezer. Works everytime!
