    Organic vegetable rennet

I tried this because the group I cook with have numerous allergies and food preferences. I had a bit of trouble with the "double-strength +" designation--all the recipes seem to call for single strength. My Haloumi did not develop a good curd, but it tasted excellent!

I bought this when I first started making cheese years ago, and it worked well but the shelf life doesn't seem to be near as good as the animal rennet; it appeared to lose strength much more quickly over time.

This rennet is great for me as some of the people I share cheese with prefer not to have the animal rennet. (I personally use both!) This rennet gives a perfect set every time!

    Great

This rennet has worked with every cheese I have made, gives excellent yields as well. I have also used the animal rennet and notice no difference in yield and quality. I will be giving the organic vegetable rennet a try next.

    Effective and Cost-Effective

This is my go-to rennet when making cheese at home and for class demonstrations. It's very effective, and I prefer vegetarian rennet to animal rennet. However, the actual shelf life from the time of shipping was actually a few months less than the time-frame printed on the bottle, so be aware if you are having coagulation problems. Good price!

The Rennet worked great. I made mozzarella, with beautiful results. I can't wait to try making other types of cheese!

    Liquid rennet

It is easier to work with than the tablets, but requires a little bit more time to set the cheese curds

    Prefer Liquid Rennet

I've used both tablet and liquid for the 30 minute mozzarella and really prefer the liquid. Both are great products though, just prefer liquid.

    Vegetable rennet does really well

I have really enjoyed using this vegetable rennet. It produces a great curd, particularly with store purchased milk. Please note that it IS double strength and will curdle your milk if you use too much, so take care to 1/2 your quantity in your recipe that calls for single strength.or does not say what strength. I also would recommend to keep this and animal rennet in the fridge as it is a food product.
