    I like this rennet!

I have used both liquid and tablet rennet, and I prefer the tablets mainly because they store so well--exactly as in the product description, they can be stored for over 3 years and still work perfectly--in fact, I just bought more because I used up the last of my frozen stock after 4 years! It was because some of my family members are vegetarian that I stopped using liquid "animal" rennet, and this vegetable product is a completely satisfactory option. I have no trouble cutting the tablets to half or quarter size, or dissolving the cut pieces for use---it's as easy as anything.

    Rennet tablet

It is much easier to deal with rennet tablet instead of using liquid rennet. It is easy to store this also. It gives an amazing cheesy and sticky effect to your cheese. It is really important to use this in making cheese.

    Easy Peasy Rennet

I find this rennet is easy to use and as it is vegetable based it really helps me to start my Halal cheesemaking. Although failed at first attempt, I will continue to perservere to produce cheese at the comform of my home. And I hope for the other ingredients too, you would be able to help source Halal Certified ingredients so that people like me can enjoy homemade cheese.

Just placed my first order and my heart is filled with excitement!

I ordered on Monday and received my items on Thursday. Excellent! I am headed to my daughter's home in Vermont next week (will keep the Rennet frozen in my cooler) and we are going to make Mozzarella Cheese. I can't tell you how excited I am. It's definitely going to be a mouth watering experience. Thanks for your easy to navigate website and the fun & friendly feeling I got from your emails.

Best used for 2 gallon batches.

I like that this is a "vegetable" product. As has been mentioned, it works best for 2 gallon batches due to breaking the tablet into the correct portion. I typically make 1 gallon (or less) mini batches due to my current milk supply. I may need to pick up some of the liquid version to improve on preparing the correct quantity. Other than trying to break the tablets into very small pieces, they seem to have worked very well. I am a brand-new beginner at cheese making.

    The only rennet I use

I have been using it for years in white, and hard cheese. Lasts in the freezer for years. Never failed.

Very easy to use. My students make mozzarella using your recipe. We are always successful and they love making pizza with their fresh cheese.

I found this rennet much easier to use than liquid. Most recipes use a quarter tab and I keep the remainder in the freezer. It has lasted for years!

    Good to have on hand

The rennet tablets do the job of coagulating well, but dividing and dissolving the pills can become troublesome (especially if using small amounts). I prefer using a liquid rennet regularly, but I keep these on hand (in the freezer) as a backup.

Well, It's rennet. How much can be said? It always works fine. No problems. I like using the tablets rather than the liquid, but it doesn't really matter. If you're some sort of rennet addict, this is a good source.

    Tablet rennet

I've used both tablet and liquid for the 30 minute mozzarella and really prefer the liquid. Both are great products though, just prefer liquid. Tablets are easy to share with friends/neighbors.

Works great. But takes finesse to cut into 4ths....

It always works great, but sometimes it is hard to cut into quarters. A sharp knife, a steady hand, and a hard surface (holding your hand around it so it doesn't fly off) usually does the trick.

    Initially anxious but now happy

I read that rennet is extremely volatile, should be kept extra cold, etc. This leaf of 10 tablets made it all the way across the Pacific and is still viable. Whew! Very happy newbie cheese-maker here.

    For Fresh Cheese Only

This vegetable rennet is good for fresh cheese only. One shouldn't use it if the cheese is stored or aged more than a couple weeks. The cheese will turn bitter. Use animal rennet instead. (I had to send in another order.)

The tablets are easy to use and store, but one is severely limited on what cheeses one can make.

    Great Product!

Tablets are very easy to break and come in a small bag that takes very little space in the freezer. Incredibly happy as a beginner!
